pūrvaṃ śastrasambhārān e vopadekṣyāmaḥ |
tac ca śastrakarmāṣṭavidham bhavati | tad yathā |
chedyaṃ bhe dyaṃ lekhyaṃ vedhyam eṣyam āhāryaṃ visrāvyaṃ
sīvyam it
yato 'nyat karma cikīrṣuṇā pūrvam
evopakalpayitavyāni bhavanti | tad yathā
yantraśastrakṣārāgniśalākāpicuplotapatrasūtraghṛtamadhupayastailatarpaṇakaṣāyālepanakalka
śītodakavya janakaṭāhādīni
parikarmiṇaś ca snigdhā sthirā balavantaḥ |
tataḥ praśasteṣu
ti thikaraṇamuhūrttanakṣatreṣu dadhyakṣatānnapānaratnair
viprāṃś cārcayitvā kṛtabalimaṅgalasvastivācanaṃ bhuktavantam
āturaṃ prāṅmukham u paveśya yantrayitvā
marmasirāsnāyusandhyasthidhamanīḥ pariharan nanu lomaṃ śastran
nidadhyād āpūya
darśanāt sakṛd evopaharec chastram āśu
ca | mahatsv api ca pākeṣu dvyaṅgulatryaṅgulāntaram vā
śastrapada m uktaṃ ||
tatrāyato viśālaḥ samaḥ suvibhakta iti vraṇāḥ

ekena vā vraṇena na viśuddhyati tato 'parāṃ
buddhyāpekṣāntaraṃ vra ṇāṅ kuryāt ||

tatra tatra varṇaṃ kuryād yathā doṣo na tiṣṭhati ||

bhrū gaṇḍalalāṭākṣipuṭakakṣā vaṃkṣṇeṣu
tiryakcheda uktaḥ |
anyathā tu sirāsnāyukṣaṇanād atimā
traṃ | vedanācirāc ca vraṇasaṃroho māṃsakandīprādurbhāvaś ca
bhavati |
mūḍhagarbhodarāśma rībhagandaramukharāgeṣv
abhuktavatāṃ kurvītaḥ
tataḥ śastram avacārya śītābhir adbhipariṣicya r ātur amāśvāsya ca samantāt paripīḍyāṃ gulyā vraṇam
abhimṛjya prakṣālya kaṣāyeṇa plotenodakam ādāya
tilakalkamadhu
gāḍhāṃ varttim praṇidhāya
patreṇācchādya kavalikān datvā bandhanopapādayet | vedanaā rakṣo ghnair dhūpayitvā
guggulva garu sarjjarasa vacā gaurasarpa lavaṇa nimba patrājya śeṣeṇa cāsya
prāṇāṃ samālabheta |
udaku mbhāc cāpo gṛhītvā prokṣayan
rakṣākarmma kuryāt ||
kṛtyānām parirakṣārtha tathā rakṣobhayasya
ca
rakṣākarmma kariṣyāmi brahmā tad anumanyatāṃ |
nāgā piśācā gandharvā yakṣarakṣaṃsy atha grahāḥ
|
abhidravanti ye ye tvā brahmādyāḥ ghnantu tāṃ sadā |
pṛthivyām antarikṣe ca ye caranti niśācarāḥ |
dikṣu vāstuni ye cānye pāntu tvā te namaskṛtāḥ |
pāntu tvām ṛṣayo brahmavidyā rājarṣayas tathā |
parvatāś caiva nadyaś ca
sarvāḥ sarve ca sāgarāḥ |
agnī rakṣatu te jihvāṃ prāṇaṃ vāyus tathaiva ca

somo vyānam apāna n te parjanyaḥ parirakṣatu |

balam indro balapatir matim vācaspatis tathā |
kāmān te pāntu gandharvās satvam

tataḥ kṛtarakṣakarmam āturam agāram
praveśyācā rikam upadiśet
tatas tṛtīye 'hani vimucyaivam eva badhnīyān na
cainaṃ tvaramāṇo paredyur mokṣaye

dvitīyadivasamokṣaṇād vigrathito vraṇaḥ cirād
upasaṃrohaty ugrarukta bhavati ||
ata urdhvaṃ do ṣakālabalādīn avekṣya
kaṣāyālepanabandhāhārād vidadhyān
na cainaṃ tvaram āraṇaḥ sāntardoṣaṃ
roha yet | sa hy alpenāpy
a pacāreṇābhyantaram utsaṅgaṅ kṛtvā bhūyo vikaroti |
tasmāt suśuddhaṃ bahirabhyantarataś ca
vraṇaṃ saṃro

rūḍhe py ajīrṇṇavyāyām avyavāyādīn vivarjjayet ||

tryahā dvyahāc charadgrīṣmavarṣāsv api ca buddhimāṃ |
atipātiṣu rogeṣu nekṣetainaṃ vidhiṃ bhiṣak |
pradīptād gāravac chīghraṃ tatra kuryāt pratikriyāṃ |
yā vedanāśastranipātajātā tīvrā śarīre prata
noti jantoḥ |
ghṛtena sā śāntim upaiti neti ||

dvimāsikam ṛtuṅ kṛtvā ṣaḍ ṛ tavo bhavanti || te

āpyāyate somaḥ | āmla lavaṇamadhurāś ca rasā
balavanto bhavanti | uttarottara ñ ca sarvaprāṇināṃ
balam abhivarddhate | uttaraṃ śiśiravasantagrīṣmāḥ | teṣu bhagavān
āpyāyate 'rkaḥ | kaṭutiktakaṣāyāś ca rasā balava ttarā bhavanti |
uttarottaraāś ca prāṇinām balam parihīyate ||

somaḥ kloda yate bhūmiṃ sūryaḥ śoṣayate punaḥ |

tato dūtanimittaśakuna maṅgalānulomyenātura gṛham āgamyopaviśyāturam
abhipaśyet spṛśet pṛcchec ca tribhir etair vijñāno
pāyaiḥ | dīrgham āyuṣo lpāyuṣo veditavyāḥ |
tatra dṛṣṭvā yau varṇṇavaikṛ ticchāyāṃ cāturasya bhiṣagjānīyāt | spṛṣṭvā śītoṣṇādīṃ sparśaviśeṣā
viparītāviparītāṃ jvaraśophādīṃ | pṛṣṭvā deśaṃ
kālaṃ jātisā myam ātaṅkam utpatti vedanāsamucchrāyo
balābalam agniṃ vātamūtrapurīṣāṇām apravṛttipravṛttiṃ ce

| catasraḥ kośā takyaḥ samūlaphalaśākhāpatrāndahettataḥ
kṣāradroṇamudakadroṇaiḥ ṣaḍbhirāloḍya mūtraiś ca yathoktairmahati
kaṭāhe śa naiśśanairdavyāvaghaṭṭayanvipacet sa yadā
bhavatyacchoraktastīkṣṇaḥ picchilaś ca tamādāyetaraṃ
saṃsṛjya punarapi pākāyādhiśrayet tata eva ca
kṣārodakakuḍavamadhyardha kṛtvā panayettataḥ
kaṭaśarkarābhasmaśarkarāś ca | kṣīrapakaśaṃkhanābhīragnivarṇṇāḥ
kṛtvāyase pātre tasmiṃ kṣārodakebhiṣicya | piṣṭvā tathaiva ca pratīvāpo yathālābhaṃ
dantīcitrakalāṅgalīpūtīkapravāḍatālapatrīviḍasauvarcikāka
nakakṣīrīhiṃguvacātiviṣāśuktīḥ ślakṣṇacūrṇṇaṅ kṛtvā
nidadhyāt | satatam apramattaś ca darvyāvagha ṭāyaṃ vipacet | sa yathā nātisāndro nātidravaś ca bhavati tathā
prayateta | athainam āgatapākam avatāryānuguptam āyase
kumbhe nidadhyāt |

atyarthaṃ mārdavaṃ śaityam atyarthaṃ sāndram eva ca |
hīnauṣadhyavipakvatvaṃ kṣārado ṣā na ca smṛtāḥ ||
tatra kṣārasādhyavyādhiṃ vyādhitam upaveśya
nivātāsambādhe deśe agropa
haraṇīyoktopasaṃbhārasaṃbhṛtatanoḥ | anyatamamavaghṛṣyāvalikhya
pracchayitvā vā śalākayā kṣāraṃ pratisārya
vākchatamātram upaikṣeta |
tasmiṃ nipatite vyādhau kṛṣṇatā dagdhalakṣaṇaṃ
|
tatrāmla vargaḥ samanaḥ sarpirmadhu samāyutaḥ |
atha ca sthiramūlatvātkṣāradagdhanna dīryate |
idamālepanantatra śīghra samavacāra
yet |
amlakāñjikabījānāṃ tilām madhukameva ca |
prapiṣya samabhāgāni tenaivam anule payet |
tilakalkaḥ samadhuko ghṛtākto vraṇalepanaḥ ||
rasenāmle na tīkṣṇena vīryoṣṇena tathaiva ca

āgneyenanā gni sadṛśaḥ kathaṃ kṣāra

evaṃ cen manyase vatsa procyamānaṃ śṛṇuṣva me |

sāṃ kṣāre sarvān eva vibhāvayet |

śuṣkasaṃkucitavraṇatā ca māṃsadagdhe | kṛṣṇonnatavraṇatā
srāvasannirodhaś ca sirāsnāyudagdhe

ata ūrddham itarathā dagdhaṃ vakṣyāmaḥ tatra
snigdhaṃ rūkṣañ cāśri
tyadravyam agnir dahati |
atisantapto hi snehaḥ sūkṣmamārgānusāritvāt
tvagādīnanupraviśyāśu dahati | tasmātsnehadagdhe
dhikā rujā bhavati |
tatra pluṣṭaṃ durdagdhaṃ samyagdagdham
atidagdham iti caturvidham agnidagdham bhavati | tatra yad viva ṇṇam uṣyate timātraṃ tat pluṣṭaṃ |
yatrotpattisphoṭanā
tīvradāhadoṣavedanā cirāc copaśāmyati tad du
rdagdhaṃ |
samyagdagdham anavagāḍhaṃ pakvatālavarṇṇaṃ susaṃsthitaṃ
pūrvalakṣaṇasaṃyuktaṃ ca | atidagdhe tu māṃsā valaṃbanaṃ
gātraviśleṣaḥ sandhivaiguṇyaṃ sirāsnāyusandhyasthivyāpādanaṃ
jvaradāhapipāsāmūrcchāś copadravā bhavanti | sakrimiś cet vraṇaś cāsya cireṇoparohaty
uparūḍhaś ca vivarṇṇo bhavati | tad etac caturvidham
agnidagdhalakṣaṇam ānupūrvyoktaṃ
pūrvakarma prasādhakaṃ bhavati ||

agninā kopitaṃ pittaṃ bhṛśañjantoḥ pradhāvati |
tatastenai va vegena raktañcāpyupadīryate |
tulyavirye py ubhe hy ete rasato dravyatas

sphoṭā ḥ śīghraṃ prajāyante jvaras

dagdhasyopaśamārthāya cikitsā sampravakṣyate |

śarīre svinnabhūyiṣṭhe svinaṃ bhavati śoṇitaṃ |

tasmāt sukhayati hy uṣṇa na tu śītaṃ

śītāmuṣṇāñ ca ca durdagdhe kriyāṃ kuryāttataḥ

ghṛtālepana sekāṃstu śītānevāsya kārayet ||
samyagdagdhe tu kākṣīrīplakṣacandanagairikaiḥ |

pitta vidradhivaccainaṃ praśāntyoṣmāṇamācaret |
atidagdhe tu śīrṇṇāni māṃsāny uddhṛtya śītalāṃ
kriyāṅ kuryāc cūrṇṇakāle śālitaṇḍula kaṇḍanaiḥ |
tindukyās tvakkaṣāyair vā mṛdubhṛṣṭair upācaret

vraṇaṅ guḍūcīpatrair vā cchādayed atha co
dakaiḥ |
kriyāṅ kuryāc ca nikhilāṃ bhiṣak
pittavisarpavat ||
athedānīṃ dhūmopahatavidhānaṃ va kṣyāmaḥ |
śvasity ādhmāti cātyarthaṃ kāsate kṣavate
bhṛśaṃ |
cakṣuṣaḥ paridāhaś ca rāgaś caivopajāyate |
sadhūmakaṃ niśvasiti ghre yam anyan
na vetti ca |
tathaiva ca rasāṃ sarvāṃ smṛtiś cāsopahanyate |
tṛṣṇādāhajvaraś cetaḥ sīda
vat samyagvānteti |samyagvāntā sali lasarake nyastā bho ktukāmā satī cared yā sīdati na ceṣṭate sā durvāntāṃ
punaḥ samyak vāmayet | durvāntāyās tu indrapado nāma vyādhir
asā dhyo bhavati ||
aprahṛṣṭaśiraḥ pātya kāyenodveṣṭate sakṛt |
yā coṣṇaṃ kurute toyaṃ tasyā
m idamadaḥ smṛtaḥ |
athaināṃ pūrvavat sannidadhyāt |
śoṇitasya ca yogāyogam avekṣya jalau kāmukhaṃ madhunāvaghaṭṭayet | badhnīta vā
kaśāyamadhurasnigdhaśītaiś ca pradehaiḥ pradihyād iti ||

pāñcabhautikasya caturvidhasyāhārasya
ṣaḍrasopetasya dvividhavīrya syāṣṭavidhavīryasya vā
anekaguṇopayuktasyāhārasya samyakpa riṇatasya
yas tejoṇa bhūtaḥ sāraḥ
paramasūkṣmaḥ sa rasa ity ucyate | tasya hṛdayaṃ sthānaṃ | sa
hṛdayāc caturviṃśatir dhamanīr anupraviśyo rdhvagā daśa
daśa cādhogāminyaś catasras tiryaggāḥ kṛtsnaṃ śarīram aharahas
tarpayati jīpa vati
yāpayati vardhayati cādṛṣṭahetuke na karmaṇā | tasya
śarīram anusarato numānād gatir upalakṣayitvā kṣayavṛddhīhetukī

sarvaśarīrāvayavadoṣadhātumalāśayānusāriṇi rase jijñāsā kim ayaṃ
saumyas te jasa iti | sa khalu dravatvād anusaraṇe
snehanajīvanatarpaṇadhāraṇādibhir viśeṣaiḥ saumya ity avagamyate
|
sa khalv āpyo raso yakṛtplīhānau prāpya rāgam
upaiti ||

rañjitās tejasā tv āpaḥ śarīrasthena de
hināṃ |
avyāpannāḥ prasannena raktam ity eva tad viduḥ ||
rasād eva striyā raktam ṛtusaṃjñaṃ pravartate
dvādaśād vardhate varṣād yāti pañcāśataḥ kṣayaṃ |
ārttavaṃ śoṇitaṃ tv āgneyam āhuḥ ||
agnīṣomīyatvād garbhasya
pāñcabhautikatva m apare jīvaṃ raktam
āhur ācāryāḥ

visratā dravatā rāgaḥ spandanan tanutā tathā |
pṛthivyādiguṇāś cete dṛśyante śoṇite yataḥ |
rasād raktaṃ tato māṃsaṃ māṃsān medaḥ
pravarttate medaso 'sthi tato majjā majjā śukraṃ tataḥ
prajāḥ ||
tatraiṣān dhātūnāṃm annapānarasaḥ prīṇāyitā
bhavati || bha vati cātra ||
rasa jaṃ puruṣaṃ vidyād rasaṃ rakṣeta
yatnataḥ | annapānaprayogena āhāreṇa suyantritaḥ ||

pañcaviṃśati kalāmatāni | caturaśītim ca

aṣṭādaśasa hasrāṇi saṅkhyā hy asmiṃ samuccaye | kalānān

evam ānikaḥ | anayaivoditāgneś ca vijñeyaḥ kālasaṃkhyayā ||
sa śabdārci jāla santānavad aṇunā
viśeṣeṇānusaraty evaṃ śarīraṃ kevalaṃ
vyājīkaraṇyas tv auṣadhyaḥ svaguṇabalātkarṣād
virecanava d upayuktāḥ
śukraṃ virecayanti ||
yathā hi puṣpamukulastho gandho na śakyam
ihāstīti vaktuṃ | naiva nāstīti
atha cāsti satāṃ bhāvānām utpattir
iti kṛtvā kevalaṃ tu saukṣmyān nābhivyajyate | sa eva vivṛte
keśa re puṣpa kālāntareṇābhivyakto bhavati | evam
bālānām api vayaḥ pariṇāmāc śukraprādurbhāvo bhavati |
romarājyārttavādiś ca vi śeṣo nārīṇāṃ |
sa evānnaraso 'bhivṛddhānāṃ paripakvaśarīratvād
aprīṇāno bhavati |

teṣāṃ kṣayavṛddhī śoṇitanimitte | tasmāt tad

paruṣaṃ tanu śīghragam askandi ca vātaduṣṭaṃ | nīlam pītaṃ haritaṃ
śyāvaṃ viśram aniṣṭaṃ pipīlikāmakṣi kāṇāñ ca pittena |
gairikodakaprakāśaṃ snigdhaṃ śītaṃ vahalaṃ picchilaṃ viśrāvi
māṃsapeśīsamaprabhaṃ ca
śleṣmaṇā | sarvalakṣaṇayuktaṃ
sannipātena | pittavad raktenātikṛṣṇañ ca | dvidoṣaliṅgasaṃsṛṣṭaṃ
dvi doṣaṃ |
indragopakaprakāśam asaṃhatam avivarṇṇañ ca
prakṛtistham iti jānīyāt ||
visrāvyān anyatra vakṣyāmaḥ ||
athāvisrāvyā ḥ sarvāṅgaśophaḥ
kṣīṇasya vā cāmla bhojananimittaḥ
pāṇḍurogyarśasyudariśoṣigarbhiṇī
nāñ ca svayathavaḥ
|
tatra ṛjv asaṃkīrṇṇaṃ sūkṣmaṃ samam anavagāḍham
anuttānam āśu śastrañ ca pātayet |
hṛdaya basti guda nābhi kakṣyavaṅkṣa ṇākṣi kūṭa pāṇi pādatalāṃś ca varjayet
|
pūyagarbhāṃ punar yathoktair evopacaret |
tatra durvaddhe śītavātayor asvinne bhukte ca
skannatvāc choṇitaṃ na sravati | alpaṃ vā sravati ||

vāta viṅ mūtrasaṃgeṣu madamūrcchāśrameṣu ca |
nidrābhibhūte śīte vā nṛṇān nāsṛk sraved iti ||

ekāṅgavikāraṃ hikkāṃ kāsaṃ śvāsaṃ

tan nātiśīte nātyuṣṇe nāsvinne nātitāpite
yavāgūṃ pratipī tasya śoṇitaṃ mokṣayed bhiṣak ||
samyag gatvā yadā raktaṃ svayam evāvatiṣṭhate
śuddham evam vijānīyāt samyag visrāvitañ ca tat |
lāghavaṃ vedanāśāntir vyādhivegaparikṣayaḥ |
samyagvisrāvite liṅgaṃ prasādo manasas tathā |
tvagdoṣā granthayaḥ
śophā rogāḥ śoṇitajāś ca ye |
raktamokṣaṇaśīlānāṃ na bhavanti kadācana ||
atha khalv apravarttamāne | elā śītaśivaḥ
kuṣṭhatagarapāṭhābhadradāruvi ḍaṃgacitrakatrikaṭukāgāradhūmaharidrārkāṅku naktamālaphalai
yathālābhaṃ tribhiś caturbhiḥ |
samastair vā lavaṇapragāḍhair vraṇamukha gharṣayed evaṃ sādhu bhavati ||

lodhramadhukapriyaṅgupattāṅgagairikarasāñjanaśaṃkhaśuktiyavamāṣagodhūmasarjarasacūrṇṇair
anārdrair vraṇamukham avacūrṇṇā ṅgulyagreṇāvapīḍayet |
sālasarjārjunārimedagranthidhavadhanva natvagbhi vā cūrṇṇīkṛtābhiḥ
kṣaumeṇa vadhyāsitena samudraphenena lākṣācūrṇṇair vā yathoktair
bandhanadravyair gāḍhaṃ bandhīyāt | vyadhānantaraṃ
punar vyadhayet | śītācchādanabhojanāgārapariṣekaiḥ śītair ālepaiḥ
pradahair vāpacared agninā vā dahed ya thoktaṃ
kākolyādikvāthaṃ vā śarkarāmadhumadhuraṃ pācayet | eṇahariṇor
abhraṃ mahiṣaśaśavarāhāṃ
ṇāṃ vā rudhiraṃ kṣīrayūṣaṃ
rasaiś cāśnīyāt | upadravāṃś ca yathoktān upacaret ||

dhātu kṣayāt srute rakte mandaḥ sañjāyate 'nalaḥ |
pavanaś ca paraṅ kopaṃ yāti tasmāt prayatnataḥ |
tan nātiśītair laghubhiḥ snigdhaiḥ śoṇi tavardhanaiḥ | īṣad amlair anamlair vā bhojanaiḥ
samupācaret ||
caturvidhaṃ yad etad dhi rudhirasya ni
vāraṇaṃ | sandhānaṃ skandanaṃ caiva pācanaṃ dahanaṃ tathā ||
vraṇaṃ kaṣāyaḥ sandhatte raktaṃ skandayate himaṃ | tathā sampācayed bhasma dāhaḥ saṅkocayet sirāṃ

sandhānaiḥr bhra śyamāne tu pācanaiḥ

garbhalakṣaṇa
mārttavaṃ | stanyaṃ stanāpīnajananajīvanam iti |
tatra vidhivat parirakṣaṇaṃ kurvīta ||
ataḥ sarveṣāṃ kṣayalakṣaṇaṃ
vyākhyāsyāmaḥ | tatra vātakṣaye mandaceṣṭatā
alpavāktvamalpapraharṣo mūḍhasañjñatā ca | pittakṣaye
mandoṣmāgnitāniṣpra bhatā ca | śleṣmakṣaye
rūkṣatāntardāha
āmāśayetarāśayaśūnyatāśirasaś ca
|
tatra svayonivardhanāny eva pratīkāraḥ ||
rasakṣa ye hṛdayapīḍā kampaḥ
śoṣaḥ śūnyatā tṛṣṇā ca | śoṇitakṣaye
tvakpā ruṣyam amlaśītaprārthanā sirāśaithilyañ
ca || māṃsa kṣaye
sphiggaṇṇḍauṣṭhopasthoruvakṣaḥ kakṣaśuṣkatā
dhamanīnāñ ca śaithilyaṃ |
medakṣaye plīhābhivṛddhiḥ
sandhiśūnyatā raukṣyaṃ meduramāṃsaprārthanā ca | asthikṣaye asthi śūlo dantana khabhaṃgā raukṣyañ ca | majjākṣaye
lpaśukratā parvabhedo sthitodaḥ śūnyatā | śukrakṣaye
meḍhravṛṣaṇavedanāśaktir maithune cirād vā prasekaḥ
praseke cālpaśukraraktadarśanaṃ |
purīṣakṣaye hṛdayapārśvapīḍā saśabdasya ca
vāyor ū
dhvagamanaṃ kukṣau sañcaraṇaṃ ca mūtrakṣaye
bastitodo lpamūtratā ca || atrāpi svayonivardhanadra vyopayogaḥ || svedakṣaye stabdharomakūpatā sparśavaiguṇyaś ca
tatrābhyaṅga svedopayogaś ca ||
ārttavakṣaye yathocitakālā darśanamalpatā vā yonivedanā ca | tatra saṃśodhanamāgneyānāñ ca
dravyānām upayogaḥ || sta
nyakṣaye stanayo mlānatā
stanyāsambhavaś ca | tatra śleṣmavardhanadravyopayogaḥ ||
garbhakṣaye ga rbhāspandanamanunnatakukṣitā ca | tatra
prāptabastikālāyāḥ kṣīrabastiprayogo medhyān na prayogaś ca ||
ata ūrdhvam ati pravṛddhānāṃ
doṣadhātūnāṃ lakṣaṇam upadekṣyāmaḥ tatra vātavṛddhau kārśyaṃ
kārṣṇyaṃ gātrasphuraṇatā
uṣṇakāmatā nidrānāśolpabala tvaṃ gāḍhavarcasvatā ca || pittavṛddhau
pītāvabhāsatā santāpaḥ śītakāmitvam alpanidratā mūrcchā
balahāniḥ pītaviṇmūtratvañ ca || śleṣmavṛddhau śauklyaṃ śaithyaṃ
sthairyaṃ gauravam agni sādas tandrā nidrā
sa ndhyati śliṣṭatā ca ||
raso tipravṛddho hṛdaye kledaṃ prasekañ
cāpādayati | raktaṃ raktāṅgākṣitāṃ ||

sphiggaṇḍauṣṭhopasthorubāhujaṅghāsu vṛddhiṃ gurugātratāñ ca |
medaḥ snigdhāṅgatāmudarapā rśvavṛddhiṃ kāsaśvāso

sarvāṅganetragauravaṃ || śukraṃ śukrāśmari ti prā durbhāvaṃ ||

muhurmuhuḥ pravṛttiṃ todañ ca || svedaḥ
kaṇḍū dau rgandhyañ ca ||
stanyaṃ stanayor atipīnatvaṃ muhurmuhuḥ
pravṛttim atitodañ ca || ārttavam aṅgamardo daurbalyañ ca
+ teṣāṃ kṣapaṇam aviruddhai ḥ
kriyāviśeṣaiḥ kurvīta balakṣayaṃ
ata ūrdhvam anuvyākhyāsyāmaḥ ||
rasādīnāṃ śukrāntānāṃ dhātūnāṃ yat paran tejas tat khalv ojas
tad eva balam ity ucyate | śāstrasiddhā ntāt
tatra balena sthiropacitamāṃsatā
sarvaceṣṭāsvapratighātaḥ svaravarṇṇaprasādo bāhyābhyantarāṇāṃ ca
karaṇānām ātmakāryapra tipattir bhavati ||

ojaḥ somātmakaṃ snigdhaṃ śītaṃ ślakṣṇaṃ sthiraṃ saraṃ |
viviktaṃ mṛdu mṛtsnañ ca prā
ṇāyatanam uttamaṃ ||
dehaḥ sāvayavas tena vyāpto bhavati dehinām
|
abhighātāt kṣayāt ko pāddhyānācchokācchramāt kṣudhaḥ |
ojaḥ saṃkṣīyate dehe dhātugrahaṇaniḥsṛtaṃ ||
tatra visraṃso vyāpatkṣaya iti liṅgāni bhavanti
| sandhiviśleṣo gātrāṇāṃ sadanaṃ
doṣacyavanakriyāsannirodhaś ca visraṃse | stabdhatā gurugātra
tā śopho varṇṇabhedo glānis tandrā nidrā vyāpanne |
māṃsakṣayo mohaḥ pralāpo maraṇam iti ca kṣīṇo |
tatra visraṃse vyāpanne ca kriyāviśeṣair
aviruddhair balam adhyāyayet mūḍhasaṃjñam itarañ ca varjjayet
|
yasya dhātukṣa yād vāyuḥ sañjñākarmma
vināśayet
prakṣīṇañ ca balaṃ yasya tau na śaktau cikitsituṃ ||
rasani
mittam eva sthaulyaṅ kārśyañ
ca | tatra śleṣmalāhārasevitodhyaśanaśīlasyāvyāyāmino divāsva pnaratasya āma evānnaraso madhurataraś ca śarīram
anukramamāṇotisnehān medo janayati | medaso tipravṛddhatvād
vāṭha ryam āpādayati | tam ativaṭharaṃ
kṣudrasvāsapipāsākṣutsvapnasvedadaurgandhyakrathanagātrasādaga
gadatvāni kṣipram evāviśanti | saukumāryātmedasaḥ
sarvakriyā svasamarthatvaṃ bhavati |
kaphaphamedo niru ddhamārgatvāc cālpavyavāyo bhavati |
āvṛtamārgatvād eva ca śeṣā dhātavo nāpyāyante 'tyartham ato
lpaprāṇo bhavati | prameha piḍakājvarabhagandaravidradhivātavikā ṇārā manyatamaṃ prāpya
maraṇam upayāti | sarva eva cā
sya rogā balavanto bhavanti | kasmād āvṛtamārgatvāt
srotasāmatas tasyotpattihetuṃ parihared utpa nne tu
śilājatuguggulamūtratriphalāloharajorasāñjanamadhuyavamudgakoradūṣoddālakādīnāṃ
virūkṣaṇacchedanīyānāṃ dra vyāṇāṃ vidhivad upayogo
vyāyāmalekhanabastyupayogaś ceti ||
tatra punar vātalāhārasevino tivyavāyavyāyāmādhyayanacintābhayaśokarātrijāgaraṇapipāsākṣutkṣayālpāsanaprabhṛtibhir
u paśoṣito rasadhātuḥ śarīram anukramamāṇaulpatvān
na prīṇāyati tasmād atikārśyaṃ bhavati | sotikṛśaḥ
kṣutpipāsāśītoṣṇa vātavarṣābhārādāneṣv
asahiṣṇurvātarogaprāyolpaprāṇaḥ kriyāsu ca bhavati | kā
plīhodarāgnisādagulmaraktapittānām anyatamaṃ prāpya maraṇam
upayāti sarva eva cāsya rogā balavanto bhavanti |
kasmād alpaprāṇatvād atas tasyotpattihetum pariharet | utpanne tu
payasyāśvagandhāvidārīvidārigandhā śatāvarīnāgabalānāṃ madhurāṇāṃ manyāsāṃ cauṣadhīnāṃ
vidhivadupayogaḥ | kṣīradadhighṛta
māṃsaśāliṣaṣṭikayavagodhūmānāṃ ca
divāsvapnabrahmacaryāvyāyāmabṛṃhaṇabastyupayogaś ce ti
|
yaḥ punar ubhayasādhāraṇāny upasevate
tasyānnarasaḥ śarīram anukramamāṇaḥ samāndhātūnupacinoti
samadhātu tvān madhyaśarīro bhavati | sarvakriyāsu
ca samarthaḥ kṣutpipāsāśītoṣṇavātavarṣātapasa ho
balavāṃś ca bhavati saḥ |
satatamanupālayitavya iti ||

dvāv apy etau vigahitau sadā sthūlakṛśau narau |
śreṣṭho madhyaśarīras tu kṛśaḥ sthūlā tu pūjitaḥ |
doṣaḥ prakupito dhātūṃ kṣapayaty āmatejasā |
iddhaḥ svate jasā vahnir ukhā gatam
ivodakaṃ ||
vailakṣaṇyāc charīrāṇām asthāyitvāt tathaiva ca
|
doṣadhātumalā
nāṃ tu parimāṇān na vidyate |
eṣāṃ samatvaṃ yac cāpi bhiṣagbhir abhidhīyate |
na tat svāsthyād ṛte śakyaṃ vaktu m anyena hetunā |
doṣādīnān tu samatām anumānena lakṣayet |
prasannātmendriyaṃ jñātvā puruṣantatra buddhimāṃ |

tāvad yāvad arogaḥ syād etat sāmyasya lakṣaṇaṃ |

vātapittakaphaśoṇitasannipātāgantukani raruṇaḥ kṛṣṇo vā paruṣo mṛdur anavasthitastodādayaś cātra vedanāviśeṣo
bhavanti | pittaśvayathuḥ pītaḥ sarakto vā

choṇitajotikṛṣṇaś ca | pittaraktalakṣaṇaś cāgantur lohitāvabhāsaś

sa yadā bāhyābhyantaraiḥ kriyāviśeṣai rna śakyate praśamayituṃ kriyāviparyayād bahutvād vā doṣāṇāṃ
pākaāyābhimukho bhavati tasyā
masya
pacyamānasya pakvasya ca lakṣaṇam ucyamānam upadhārayaś ca | tatra
mandoṣmatā tvaksāvarṇyan sthairyaṃ m
alparujatālpaśophatā cāmalakṣaṇam uddiṣṭaṃ || sūcībhir iva
nistudyate daśyata iva ca pipīlikābhiś chidyate bhidyata iva ca
śa streṇa tāḍyata iva ca
daṇḍenabhiḥ pīḍyata iva ca pāṇinā ghaṭyata
iva cāṃgulyā dahyate pacyata
iva cāgnikṣārābhyāṃ mūṣā
coṣaparidāhāś ca bhavanti | vṛścikaviddha iva ca
sthānāsanaśayaneṣu na śā ntim upaiti | ādhmātabastir
ivātataś ca śopho bhavati tvagvaivarṇyaṃ śophābhivṛddhirjvaro
dāhaḥ pipāsā bhaktā ruciś ca pacya mānaliṅgaṃ ||
vedanopaśāntirni rlohitālpaśophatā ca
balīprādurbhāvaḥ tvakparipoṭanaṃ nimnada
rśanam
aṅgulyāvapīḍite bastāvivacodakasañcaraṇaṃ pūyasya prapīḍayaty ekam
antam ante cāvapīḍite muhur muhus todaḥ
kaṇḍūranunnatatā vyādher upadravaśāntir bhaktābhikāṅkṣā ca
paripakvaliṅgaṃ || kaphajeṣu khalu rogeṣu gambhīrānu gatatvād abhighātajeṣu ca keṣucid asamastam pakvalakṣaṇaṃ dṛṣṭvā
pakvam apakvam iti manyamāno bhiṣa
ṅ moham upaiti |
tatra hi tvaksavarṇṇatā śītaśophatālparujatāśmavac ca ghanatā na
tatra moham upeyāt |
bha vati cātra ||
āmam vidahyamānañ ca samyak pakvañ ca yo bhiṣak |
jānīyāt sa bhaved vaidyaḥ śeṣās taskaravṛttayaḥ ||
vātād ṛte nāsti ru jā na pākaḥ pittād
ṛte nāsti kaphāc ca pūyaḥ |
tasmāt samastāḥ paripākakāle pacanti śophaṃ tra
ya eva
doṣāḥ ||
narte rujā vātam ṛte ca
pittaṃ pākaḥ kaphaś cāpivinā na pūyaḥ |
tasmād vipākaṃ paripākakāle
prayānti śophās tribhir eva doṣaiḥ ||
kālāntareṇābhyuditan tu pittaṃ kṛtvā vaśe
vātakaphau prasahya |
pacaty ata ḥ śoṇitam eva pāko matopareṣāṃ viduṣāṃ
dvitīyaḥ ||
dravyāṇāñ candanādīnāṃ dagdhānāṃ śvetatā yathā
|
tadvat pittoṣmaṇā dagdhaṃ rakta pūyam ihocyate
||
tatrāmacchede sirāsnāyuvyāpādanaṃ
śoṇitātipravṛttiḥ vedanāprādurbhāvovadaraṇam anekopadravadarśanaṃ
kṣatavidradhir vā bhavati | sa yadā tu bhayamohābhyāṃ
pakvam apakvam iti manyamānaḥ ciram upekṣate vyādhiṃ vaidyaḥ | sa
gambhīrānugato dvāram alabhamāna ḥ pūyaḥ svamāśayam
avadāyotsaṅgaṅ kṛtvā nāḍīñ janayitvā bhavaty asādhyaḥ ||

yaśchi
natyāmamajñānādyaś ca pakvamupekṣate |
śvapacāv iva sasyaś cet tā va niścitakāriṇau

prāk chastra karmaṇaś ceṣṭaṃ bhojayed
āturaṃ bhiṣak |
pāneyaṃ pāyayet madyaṃ tīkṣṇaṃ yo vedanāsahaṃ ||
na mūrchaty annasaṃyogān mattaḥ śastraṃ na
bu dhyate |
tasmād avaśyam bhoktavyaṃ rogeṣūkteṣu karmaṇi ||
prāṇo hy ābhyantaro nṛṇām bāhyaprāṇa
guṇānvitaḥ |
dhārayaty avirodhena ucchrayam pāñcabhautikaṃ ||
yo hy utthitolpo yadi vā mahāṃbhyāt kriyāṃ vinā pākam upaiti śophaḥ |
viśālamūlo viṣamaṃ vidagdhaḥ sa kṛcchratāṃ yāty avagāḍhadoṣaḥ

ālepavisrāvaṇaśodhanais tu sa myakprayuktair yadi nopaśāmyet |
śīghraṃ vipacyet samam alpamūlaḥ sampiṇḍitaś coparicālpa
doṣaḥ
kakṣaṃ samāsādya yathā ca vahnir vāyv īritaḥ
sandahati prasahya |
tathaiva pūyopyaviniḥsṛto hi mānsaṃ sirāsnāyu ca
khādatīha ||
ādau vimlāpanaṃ kuryāt dvitīyam avasecanaṃ |
tṛtīyam upanāhaṃ tu caturthīṃ pāṭanakriyāṃ |
pa ñcamaṃ śodhanaṃ vidyāt ṣaṣṭhaṃ
ropaṇam iṣyate |
ete kramā vraṇasyoktās saptamaṃ vaikṛtāpaham iti

ālepana ādya upakrama eṣa sarva śophānāṃ sāmānyataḥ pradhānatamaś ca tamprati pratirogam

nānuloma | pratilome hi sa myag
auṣadham avatiṣṭhate | praviśati ca romakūpais tasya pramāṇaṃ
māhiṣārdracarmāt sedha m upadiśa

na ca śuṣkam upekṣitavyam anyatra pīḍayitavyāt |
śuṣkam apārthakaṃ rujākaraś ca bhavati |
ālepapra dehayor antaram ālepaḥ śītas
tanur aviśoṣī viśoṣī vā | pradehas tūṣṇaḥ śīto vā bahalobahuviśoṣī
ca | tatra raktapittapra sādakṛdālepaḥ | śodhano ropaṇaḥ
śophavedanāpagamaś ca tasyopayogaḥ kṣatākṣateṣu yastu
kṣateṣūpayujyate sa bhūyaḥ kalka iti saṃjñāṃ labhate |
nirudhyālepanasaṃjñaḥ tenāsrāvam anirodho
mṛdupūtimāṃsāpakarṣaṇam antardoṣatā
śu rvraṇaśuddhiś ca bhavati |
na cālepanaṃ rātrau prayuñjīta śaityāt tu
śleṣmaṇaḥ ūrdhvavivṛta romakūpatvādūṣmānir eti ||
avidagdheṣu śopheṣu hitam ālepamanam bhavet |
yathā svadoṣaśa
manaṃ dāhakaṇḍūrujāpahaṃ ||
marmadeśeṣu ye rogā guhyeṣv api sadā nṛṇāṃ |
saṃśodhanāya teṣān tu kuryād ālepanaṃ bhiṣak ||
ata ūrdhvavraṇabandhanadravyāṇy upadekṣyāmaḥ |
kṣaumakārpāsikāvikadukūlakauśeyapatrorṇṇacīnapa ṭṭacarmāntarbalkalalatāvidalarajjābālatūlasantānikālāhādīny
athāvyādhiṃ kālaś cāvekṣyopa
yogaḥ | pramāṇataś ceṣām
ādeśaḥ |
kośadāma śākhāsu grīvāmeḍhramūtolī maṇḍalasthavikāyamalakakhaṭvācīnavivandha vitānagophaṇāḥ
pañcāṅgī ceti caturdaśabandhaviśeṣāḥ | teṣān nāmabhir evākṛ tayaḥ prāyeṇa vyākhyātāḥ |
tatra kośaṃ
jaṅghāṅguliparvasu vidadhyāt | dāmam
asamvādheṅge sa
nagatasya vātavat kriyāvibhāgaḥ ||
evaṃ prakṣubhitānāṃ prasaratāṃ
vimārgagamanam āṭopo dhūmā yanam arocakaś charddir iti
liṅgāni bhavanti | tatra tṛtīyaḥ kriyākālaḥ ||
ata ūrddhvaṃ sthānasaṃśrayam vakṣyāmaḥ | evaṃ
khalu prasṛtā s tāṃs tāñ charīrapradeśān āgamya tāṃs
tān vyādhīñ janayanti | taṃ prati pratirogaṃ vakṣyāmaḥ | te yadodar
dhayaḥ sanniveśaṅ
kurvanti te gulmavṛdhyudarāgnisaṅgānāhavisūcikātīsāraprabhṛtīñ

pramehāśmarīmūtrāghātamūtradoṣaprabhṛtīn || gudagatās tu
bhagandarārsaprabhṛtīn || meḍhragatās tu parivarttikā padaṃśaśū kadoṣaprabhṛtīn || vṛṣaṇagatā vṛṣaṇavṛddhīn ||

sophārbudagranthividradhivisarpādīnāṃ pravyaktalakṣaṇatā
jvarātīsāra prabhṛtīnāñ ca | tatra pañcamakriyākālaḥ

ata ūrddhvam asyāvadīrṇṇasya vraṇabhāvam
āpannasya
ṣaṣṭhaḥ kriyākālaḥ || jvarātīsāraprabhṛtīnāñ
ca dī
rghakālānubandhaḥ | tatrāpratikriyamāṇo sā dhyatām upaiti ||
bha vati cātra ||
sañcayañ ca prakopañ ca prasaraṃ sthānasaṃśrayaṃ |
vyaktim bhedañ ca yo vetti doṣāṇāṃ sa bhaved bhiṣak ||
sañca ye pahṛtā doṣā labhante nottarā
gatīḥ |
te tūttarāsu gatiṣu bhavanti balavattarāḥ ||
sarvair bhāvai
s tṛbhir vāpi dvābhyām
ekena vā punaḥ |

saṃsarge yo garī yāṃ syād

sarva eva vraṇāḥ kṣipraṃ saṃrohayanty ātmavatāṃ subhiṣa gbhiś
copakrāntāḥ | anātmavatāṃ majñaiś copakrāntāḥ praduṣyanti
pravṛdvatvād doṣāṇāṃ |
tatrātisamvṛto vivṛtaḥ kaṭhinotimātra m atimṛdur utsannovasannaḥ śītotyuṣṇaḥ
kṛṣṇaraktapītaśuklādivarṇṇaiṣv apy artha varṇṇaḥ pūtimāṃsa
𑑛 sirāsnāyupratipūrṇṇaḥ

sarudhironmathitaś ca bhavati | koṣṭhagatas tu mū trapurīṣapūyarudhirodakāni sravati | marmagatas tu nocyate

atha sarvavraṇavedanām vakṣyāmaḥ ||
todanabhedanacchedanatāḍanāvamanthanāyāmanavikṣepaṇacumucumāyananirddarśanāvabhañjanaspho
ṭanavidāraṇotpāṭanakampanavividhaśūlaviśleṣaṇavikiraṇapūraṇastambhanaśvapanākuñcanāṅku śikāḥ sambhavanti | vividhā vā yatra muhurmuhur vedanā
āgacchanti tam vātikam iti vidyāt | ūṣācoṣaparidāhadhūmāyanāni yatrāṅgārāvakīrṇṇam iva vedanā sarujaṃ
tīkṣṇasampātipacyate yatra coṣmābhir vṛddhir bhavati kṣate

pītaḥ kṛṣṇo raktaḥ piṅgala iti pittaraktasamutthayoḥ |
śvetasnigdhaḥ pāṇḍur iti śleṣmajasya | sarvavarṇṇopetaḥ
sānnipātikasya ||

klaibyam apraharṣaś ca śukradoṣāt || tvagdoṣas saṃgo tipravṛttir

jvarā tīsārādīnāñ ca nityaṃ saṃśleṣaḥ paricchedo
veti | yadi nityaṃ saṃśleṣaḥ syān nityāturā eva sarvaprāṇinaḥ syuḥ
| athā py anyathābhāvo vātādīnāṃ jvarādīnāñ cānyatra
varttamānasyānyasya liṅgan na bhavatīti kṛtvā vā
tādayo jvarādīnāṃ mūlānīti tan naḥ ||
atrocyate || doṣāṃ pratyākhyāya jvarādayo na bhavanti

māṃsasirāsnāyukothamāṃsakandīmāṃsāsthigatam api ca śalyam uttavaḥ
śataponako ja tumaṇir valmīkamadhū ṣodhimāṃsaḥ
māṃsasaṃghātagalaśuṇḍikā ity evam ādayo vikārāḥ ||
bhedyās tu sarvajam ṛte vidradhyanuśayī pramehapiṭakā
granthayaś ca visarpāś cāditas trayas trayo vṛ ddhayaś
ca vidārikāvamanthau puṣkarikānāḍyastanarogāś ca sahopadaṃśaiḥ
śophāś cāsarvasarāḥ prāyaśaḥ kṣudrarogās tathā tā lupuppuṭatuṇḍikerīgilāyuprabhṛtayo ntaḥ pūyaśalyāḥ pañca
medaḥ samutthā aśmarīheto

sīvyet | vāyunirvāhino ntalohitaśalyāḥ saviṣāṃś ca tatra vā sīvyaṃ vra ṇam abhisamīkṣya
celāsthipāṃsutṛṇaromaśuṣkaraktādīny apohotkṛtyākṛṣya yathāsthānaṃ
sthāyayitvā snāyusūtravālānāṃ manyatamena sīvyet |
saṇāśmantakamūrvātaśīnāṃ vavā valkalaiḥ | sūcyas tu tisra upadiśyante |
dvyaṅgulā tryaṅgulā dhanuvakreti |
tatra māṃsaleṣv avakāśe ṣu tryasrāḥ satvāsthisv
alpamāṃseṣu ca dvyaṅgulā vṛttā yat kāmāsamayor marmasu ca dhanuvat
cakrārdhaṃ tṛtīyāṃguleti || phuṇi
kātūnasevanyāveṃllitakaṃ rajagranthibandhaṃ ceti | samāsena
sevanavikalpāḥ | teṣān nāmabhir e
vākṛtayaḥ prāyeṇa
vyākhyātāḥ teṣāṃ prahāram āsādyopayogāṃ budhyāvekṣya na
cātisannikṛ ṣṭāṃ viprakṛṣṭām alpagrāhiṇīm atibahu
grāhiṇīm vā sūcīm pātayet ||

dūre nipatitābādhaṃ sannikṛṣṭe viluñcanaṃ |
alpagrahāt tadvad eva vraṇe kuryād atas tyajet ||
samyak sīvitam avekṣya madhughṛtayutair añja
namadhukalodhrapriyaṅguśallakīphalarasāñjanakṣaumamasīcūrṇṇaiḥ

etad aṣṭavidhaṃ karmma samāsena prakīrttitaṃ |
cikitsiteṣu kārtsnyena vistaras tasya

hīnātiriktan tiryak ca gā tracchedanam ātmanaḥ |
etāś catasro ṣṭavidhe karmmaṇi vyāpadaḥ smṛtāḥ ||

bhayapramohair aparaiś ca bhāvaiḥ |
vaidyo yadā śastram abhiprayuñjan

karṇṇavanti ca śalyāni duḥkhāny āharaṇe viduḥ

ādadīta bhiṣak tasmāt tāni yuktyā sa māhitaḥ ||
etair upāyaiḥ śalyan tu naiva ni

matyā nipuṇayā vaidyo yantrayo

gṛhyante nodgatāny ajñair mumūrṣor na tv asambhavāt ||

nakṣatrapīḍā bahudhā yathā kālād vi pacyate |
riṣṭapākan tathā kecit

ni lakṣayet kuśalo bhiṣak ||

cintākṛto divā yaś ca bhavanty aphaladās tu te ||
jvaritānāṃ śunā sakhyaṃ kapisakhyan tu śoṣiṇāṃ

unmāde rākṣa saiḥ pretair apasmāre tu nartanaṃ |
mehātisāriṇān toyasnehapānan tu kuṣṭhinaḥ |

dhūmanīhāravāsobhir āvṛtām iva medinīṃ |

yo vā mayūrakaṇṭhābhaṃ vidhūmam vahnim īkṣate

cakṣuś cā kulatāṃ yāti yamarāṣṭraṃ gamiṣyataḥ |
atimātraṃ laghūni syur gā trāṇy atigurūṇi vā |
yasyākasmāt sa vijñeyo gantā caiva ya mālayaṃ |
paṅkamatsyavasātailaghṛtagandhāś ca ye narāḥ |
pi ṣṭagandhāṃś ca ye vānti
gatās te yamasā
danaṃ |
yūkā lalāṭam āyānti balin nāśnanti vāyasāḥ |
yeṣāñ cāpi ratin nāsti gatās te yamasā danaṃ |
jvarātīsāraśophā syur yasyānyonyāvasādinaḥ |
prakṣīṇañ ca balaṃ yasya na sa śakyaś cikitsituṃ |
kṣīṇasya yasya kṣuttṛṣṇe hṛ dyair
mṛṣṭair hitais tathā |
annapānair nna sāsyete tasya mṛtyur upasthitaḥ |
pravāhikā śiraḥśūlaṃ ko
ṣṭhaśūlaś ca dāruṇaḥ |
pipāsā balahāniś ca tasya mṛtyur upasthitaḥ |
viṣameṇopacāreṇa karmabhiś ca
purākṛtaiḥ |
anityatvāc ca jantūnāṃ jīvitaṃ nidhanam vrajet |
pretā dūtāḥ piśācāś ca rakṣāṃsi vividhā ni ca |
maraṇīyan naran nityam upasarpanti sarvadā
tāni bheṣaja
vīryāṇi pratinighnanti sarvadā |
tasmān mohāḥ kriyās sarvā bhavantīha gatāyuṣam iti || 31 || ❈ ||
